What bugs me about 12:56 is that despite it being such an awesome scene, canonically, Aragorn is 10 years old here. He's 87 in LOTR, -60 -17 years that Frodo had the ring in the shire. If he had been older this scene would have been even more epic.

!!! I never realized in the movie that necklace was his dead wife's! That explains SO much. I thought he was just being pissy.

What I loved about Thranduil's fighting style was that it was a direct opposite to Legolas' acrobatics. The economy of movement, the lethal grace, the serpentine deadliness are dazzling to watch. Lee Pace is a study in the deadly beauty of combat.
